Eat My Shorts

I think I had my most strenuous bike rider ever today. I rode 58.5 miles up and over a mountain ridge (on Old La Honda), to the coast, then back up and over the ridge (at Tunitas Creek). The weather was nice, and the scenery is freaking fantastic, as always. I took some pictures but haven’t looked at them yet. I’m not sure if any will be worth keeping. But hey, I made it up Old La Honda without stopping in about 31 minutes. The ride was made a bit more tough because I took two wrong turns and ended up having to climb an additional 3 or 4 miles. Also, I ran out of food and water with about 10 miles to go. Luckily the last 10 miles are either downhill or flat. When I got back I instantly feel asleep on the floor for maybe 2 hours.

What were the skies like when you were young?

OK, I was sick of not being able to post comments from work so I broke down and got a stupid account, put your bananas in the refrigerator, they peel turns brown, but they keep for a long time.

This is not a comment, but a question: did you go alone? Guess who?

Did you ever go on the trails back in the forest on centennial campus?

What the skies were like when I was lyoung.

My grandmother visited every summer for the entire summer. We used to sit on the back porch and look up at the sky and there were sooooooo many stars. I lived in Billings, Montana, in the late ’50s. We could also see the aurora borealis (sp?). I miss my grandmother, and I miss the stars.
