I bought some CDs:
- Black Eyed Peas, Monkey Business – I liked a lot of their songs on the mix tapes,
Fergie’s voice is cool, and I had a feeling it’d be mixed well (and it is). So far so good. Pretty rockin’. Their songs definitely progress a lot and aren’t too repetative. - Coldplay, X&Y – EVERYbody likes Coldplay. So far it seems like pretty typical Coldplay.
- 10,000 Maniacs, Campfire Songs – I went on a 10,000 Maniacs binge a few days ago. The song “What’s the Matter Here?” is spectacular. I was actually hoping to find The Wishing Chair but didn’t see it–I might order it online. I like their older stuff a lot. Hope Chest is I think my favorite album of theirs, and it’s some of their earlier work. Campfire Songs is one disc containing their hits and one disc containing assorted B-sides.
