Rhythmbox has come a VERY long way, but I still don’t think I can use it the same way I use iTunes. It takes Rhythmbox FAR too long to import my music from a network share. And for some reason it needs to “refresh” everything every time you start, which also takes a long time. I wonder if it would be hard to multi-thread it such that it gets information for 50 songs at a time instead of just 1. Increasing the scalability of Rhythmbox would have been a good Summer of Code project.
Hmm, and it’s still a little flaky.
I chose this summer’s Song of Summer. I went with “Your Song” by Love Psychedelico. The Love Psychedelico song on Schuck’s mix cd reminded me of them.
