I think the two most insightful things people have said about me are
- “You like to brood, don’t you?”
- “Nothing really phases you much, does it?”
I’m not really sure why they’re insightful. My favorite part of The Godfather is when Michael goes to visit his dad at the hospital after he gets shot. And the police sent the guards away because they were working with a rival family and the rival family was going to send people there to kill his dad, and Michael and a family friend (“the baker”) stood outside the hospital and acted like they had guns in order to scare the rival family’s assassins away. After the car drives by, “the baker” tries to light a cigarette, but he can’t because his hands are shaking too much. But Michael is perfectly calm.
