We saw a snowbear

Emily and I went cross-country skiing on Saturday, and snowboarding on Sunday (well, I snowboarded, Emily skiied) with Emily’s sister and Emily’s sister’s husband. It was pretty cool. We stayed at their apartment in a small town outside of Sacramento.

Cross-country skiing is quite a workout. My leg muscals was sore. I’m not any worse at snowboarding than I was the last time I went a few years ago.

The downside is that now I have a cold the likes of which the world have never seen. But Emily’s been totally rad and bought me vegetable soup and orange juice. Does anyone remember that episode of Caroline in the City where Caroline had a cold and all she wanted was a glass of ginger ale? Sometimes when I have a cold I want a glass of ginger ale. But not this time. Not this time.

Is “we saw a snowbear” a reference to something that I don’t get? (Yes!)

It’s true. We saw some kids making a snowman. Only it had arms and legs. You know those honey-bear squeeze bottles? It totally reminded me of that, except it probably wasn’t full of honey.
