What if I were Fabio in black jeans?

“Everyone knows that Custer died at Little Big Horn. What this book presupposes is… maybe he didn’t?”

That was one of the best weekends ever. Friday night, Emily (aka “Luscious”) and I ate dinner at El Rodeo. Then we came back to my place and watched The Muppets Take Manhattan. We were both pretty sleepy, but the Muppets are always good.

Saturday the three of us (me, Emily, Toro) drove to Wilmington for the Azalea Festival. We walked around some and ate Dippin’ Dots, Ice Cream of the Future! Then we spent a lot of time trying to find Carolina Beach Family Campground. Google Maps is definitely still beta. Before we found the campground, we ended up walking 4.9 miles around Greenfield Lake (with Toro). It was relaxing.

After setting up the tent, we ate outside at a small, local pizza place, then headed back downtown. We walked around some, then watched the fireworks at 8:30. Toro got scared near the end. Then we met up with Amy Piles and hooped at hollered at Level 5 at City Stage. Which reminds me, Bat Boy is being performed there the next few weekends, and we’re all invited!

The three of us (me, Emily, Toro) slept in the tent Saturday night. It got cold (upper 40s, I think), and Toro slept in Emily’s sleeping bag. We woke up Sunday morning and ate bagels. Then we drove to Carolina Beach and had another long, relaxing walk.

When I got home I cleaned and waxed my car, then ate dinner with Patrick at Bonefish Grill (yesterday was his birfday).

Update:
Oh! I left this off, after we left Level 5 at City Stage we went downstairs and watched a Carribean/reggae band for a little while composed of only white guys and ate cotton candy and jumped around. I think they were called BLANK PanBLANK.

The Muppets Take Manhattan is, I swear, a hard movie to find. And you got yours from a cereal box. General Mills toys with me again…

And I’m glad you had such a good weekend! I spent mine with Dawn and Jessie, and there were such interactions as:

    Jessie: That’s crappy.
Dawn: It’s not crappy, it’s crappé!

    AND MANY MORE.

Maybe it’s because I was tired, but I don’t think you’re missing much by not being able to find The Muppets Take Manhattan. Beaker isn’t even in it until the very end!

Also, Mark, that was only 4.9 miles? I was estimating 6.

Annnd…make that, Bat Boy: The Musical.

And it was a really awesome weekend.

Hey, how do you spell “loo-tious”? Is it the same as Luscious? If so, that’s confusing.
